American International Pictures cranked out more biker flicks in the 70's then Jenna Jameson took dicks in the 90's. Samuel Z. Arkof and James H. Nicholson formed this beautiful production company to cash in on the teenage market, making movies aimed at 19 year old males. Some of the best grind house flicks came from this studio, Mad Max, The Amittyvile Horror, Billy Jack, The Incredible Melting Man, Foxy Brown (if you have ever seen Pam Grier's tits you can thank them), and hundreds of others. I still hold firm that the star of the AIP has and always will be Roger Corman. The father of low budget horror and Sci-fi, if it was sleazy and great he probably made it. His "Poe" film series were a 60's horror staple, and his biker masterpiece "Wild Angels" started the Hells angels movie franchise. So here's to you Mr. Corman.
