Psychomania : Tea Crumpets and Zombie Bikers

Ah 70's british horror zombie biker occult flicks. What a sub genre. This movie is about that special time in everyone's life when we aren't sure if we should follow the crowd and commit satanic occult suicide to come back as a biker zombie or be an individual and be shunned by our zombie biker friends. If only I had this movie back when I was that age to help me through those rough times of teenage angst.

The flick (Part Clockwork Orange, part 70s occult exploitation, all non scary British horror) actually features a few decent riding scenes. British bikes tearing through towns and store fronts, running over babies, what more could you ask for? How about Tom the lead character erupting from his grave in a cloud of fresh cemetery dirt, bike at full throttle ready to raise hell through the British country side. Only to stop and make a call to his mother to let her know he's ok after dying, you rebel.
Yeah this movie is no easy rider or glory stompers. It uses those dreaded towed bike shots that make it look more like bikini beach bingo then a semi decent biker flick. But you get what you pay for and this ones free. Plus the opening credits has one great psychedelic track playing over it.Will it satisfy your need for a good biker zombie flick? Nope. Will it satisfy your lust for obscure biker films? Definitely. Could this movie use more 70s boobs? Of course.

The promotional material for this movie is amazing.
